On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at approximately midnight, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Mr. Herman Glenn Fulp in reference to a domestic incident. Mr. Fulp claimed that his son, David Glenn Fulp, punched and choked him and then threatened to kill him, his wife, and his brother. Mr. Fulp also indicated that his son promised to have a shootout with deputies if they arrived.

Based on Mr. David Fulp’s violent history and his threats to shoot law enforcement, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office took out warrants for his arrest and activated the Special Response Team. Once deployed to the residence, the suspect was arrested after a brief foot pursuit through the woods. He was then transported to the Alamance County Detention Center where he was given a $500,000 secured bond.
