On Tuesday October 11, 2022, Detention Center Investigators were made aware of a threat against a Government Official. During the investigation, Detectives learned that Wendell Patterson made the verbal threat as a result of his daughter, Stephanie Nicole Patterson, being incarcerated for attempting to bring contraband to her son in the Jail.

On Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 4:00 p.m., a School Resource Officer at Southern Alamance High School received a report of an individual possessing a pistol in one of the school parking lots. On arrival to the parking lot, the SRO was unable to locate the individual or vehicle.

On Sunday October 2, 2022, at 1:44 p.m., Deputies were notified of an overdose in the Alamance County Detention Center. During the investigation, Deputies identified inmate Alicia Inez Toney as the suspect.
Deputies learned from witnesses, that Ms. Toney had brought in what was believed to be heroin and gave it to her cellmate who overdosed
Beginning Saturday October 8, 2022, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office will step up enforcement of Untarped Loads. Enforcement will be concentrated near the County landfill in what has been identified as the ‘Landfill Corridor.’
