Pandemic Supplements
Pandemic supplements are supplements given to a household’s EBT benefits. The supplement is the amount it takes to bring the household up to the maximum benefit amount for their household size. If the household already receives the maximum amount, they will not receive a supplement. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to provide a specific date that your supplement will be released. We do know as of March 18, 2020, NC issued supplements for March beginning April 1st through April 10th and will begin issuing April supplements on April 22nd through May 1st.
Pandemic EBT
The P-EBT program provides a benefit on an EBT card to families whose children have access to free and reduced lunch at school. Families will not need to apply for the P-EBT program. Eligible families already receiving Food Stamp benefits will receive an additional benefit on their existing EBT card. For families not already enrolled in Food Stamps, a new EBT card will be mailed to your residence. Unfortunately, at this time we are unsure when these benefits will be issued. This is completed at the state level; these benefits will not be issued by your local DSS.
